About
Built on Three Generations of Craft
From the fjords of Norway to the hills of South Eugene — craftsmanship runs in the family.

A Trade Passed Down Through Generations
My grandfather, Sigurd Paalshaugen, built homes in Norway. My father Leif, carried that trade to America and built his own contracting business. By the time I was 13, I was already at his side — learning to read a level, set a door, and take pride in work that would outlast the people who did it.
Over the past 46 years I've repaired and remodeled more homes than I can count. Every project has reinforced the same belief: the details matter, the client deserves honesty, and a job worth doing is worth doing right.
In 1993 I added another dimension to my practice — becoming a licensed mortgage broker (NMLS# 238900). That background lets me offer cashout financing guidance to clients who need it, bridging the gap between the vision for their home and the resources to make it happen.
Your Neighbor, Your Trusted Contractor
I live in the South East Hills — the same streets, the same neighborhood, the same community as many of my clients. When I work on your home, I'm working on my neighborhood. That means I care about the outcome the same way you do.
"I don't take every job. I take the jobs I can do exceptionally well — and I tell you honestly when something is outside that scope."
